Individual Counseling & Therapeutic Approach

Dr. Juretic believes that the development of a therapeutic relationship in which her clients feel understood, supported, and challenged is essential to successful therapy.  She employs an integrative theoretical orientation to counseling, meaning she incorporates different therapeutic approaches including the use of interpersonal feedback, cognitive-behavioral interventions (CBT), and mind-body health strategies.  She takes an active and collaborative role in the therapy session, offering feedback, asking questions, and helping clients to develop insight and improve coping skills necessary to manage life stressors.  Dr. Juretic has specialized training working with anxiety disorders and recovery from trauma, including training in the use of prolonged exposure (PE) therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
